The Department of Economics seeks to fill a position at either the advanced, tenure-track assistant or tenured associate professor level. Preference will be given to applicants with a focus on Industrial Organization, Public Economics, or Labor Economics. The successful candidate must have a strong record of, and potential for, scholarly accomplishment and teaching. Candidates may be ADB with expected completion of PhD by Fall 2021 or a PhD in economics or related field. The appointee will be an affiliate of the Institute for the Study of Free Enterprise (ISFE). The mission of ISFE is to generate intellectually rigorous, policy-relevant research and open dialogue to understand how free enterprise affects peoples’ lives and the well-being of society. Active participation in the Institute’s activities, which include disseminating research to the public and hosting events featuring external speakers, is expected. Consideration of applications and interviews will begin in October of 2020 and continue until the position is filled. As per the guidance of the American Economic Association, interviews will not be conducted at or during the annual ASSA meeting.
