Allison Ball is the 38th State Treasurer of the Commonwealth of Kentucky. A University of Kentucky College of Law graduate, Treasurer Ball practiced bankruptcy law and spent time as an Assistant Floyd County Attorney before serving as State Treasurer. She is currently serving her second term as Kentucky State Treasurer. She is a fierce watchdog for taxpayer dollars and a national leader for financial empowerment. Since taking office, she has returned a record $150 million in unclaimed property and returned more than any State Treasurer in Kentucky history in a single term. She also launched a new transparency website making it easier for Kentuckians to see how the state government is spending money. Her office has also thwarted millions of dollars in fraud attempts on the Commonwealth. Additionally, Treasurer Ball started a savings and investment program for Kentuckians with disabilities called STABLE Kentucky. Treasurer Ball is a national leader in financial empowerment. She advocated for the creation of a financial literacy high school graduation requirement, established the Kentucky Financial Empowerment Coalition and Database, and successfully championed the establishment of the Kentucky Financial Empowerment Commission.

Treasurer Ball's talk will outline her path to a career in public service. During her two terms as Treasurer, she has returned a record amount of unclaimed property, promoted transparency, and prevented fraud. She has made Kentucky a national leader in financial literacy by championing financial literacy in the Commonwealth.
