Join the Institute for the Study of Free Enterprise for the event "Mixed Reality in the Classroom: A New Vision for Computing and Learning" with Anson Ho on April 19th, 2019.

Anson Ho will discuss how Microsoft's technology has the ability to disrupt the delivery of education. This event will be a case study on how free enterprise, technology, and innovation can potentially improve the lives of many people. Immersive technologies are becoming more popular and accessible to consumers, and this means that we are starting to see their use in a wider variety of settings, including the classroom. This is a positive development for teachers and students alike. When immersive technologies and game-based learning are deployed correctly and in a pedagogically consistent manner, they have the potential to support and expand curriculum, enhancing learning outcomes in ways which haven’t been previously possible, affordable, or scalable. Learn about how immersive technologies like the HoloLens and Windows Mixed Reality is transforming classroom time.

The event is free and open to the public. Please join us in Gatton B&E Classroom 311 from 3:00pm to 4:00pm.
